Gloria Steinem, the famous feminist, changes her tune in this book. In
looking at self-esteem she discovered that though men and women "do" low
self-esteem differently (she says in culturally opposite ways), it's
still self-esteem we are talking about. She makes an excellent case for
how critically important it is to build self-esteem in children. Not
only that, but she gives examples that show that a little effort in this
direction can have a large positive impact.
